Men deny drugs charge
yesterday pleaded not guilty to a seven-count indictment at their Supreme Court arraignment.
Puisne Judge Vincent Meerabux heard Mark Burrell, Trevor Morain, and Alvin Francois, being concerned together did between May 31 and June 19 did conspire to import controlled substances into Bermuda.
Burrell faces further charges of possession and handling a controlled substance. The trio were set over to December 2 for their next court appearance.
Kevin Glen Howard and Antoine Alvin Darrell appeared before Mr. Justice Meerabux charged with the October 21, 1995, robbing Anton Stocker, and with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Howard pleaded guilty to one count of robbery and one count of burglary. He pleaded not guilty to the wounding.
Darrell, represented by Mark Telemaque holding for Philip Perinchief, pleaded not guilty; he was charged with only one count of robbery and one count of wounding.
