The incident occurred around 9.30 p.m. when the driver told the men their fare for a ride from North Shore Road near the Tynes Bay Incinerator to near Panorama Drive, Hamilton Parish.

The front seat passenger got out of the car but the rear passenger brandished a knife and demanded money.

A struggle ensued and the driver was stabbed in the neck. The men left empty handed.

The rear passenger is described as a light brown skinned man, with short hair, glasses, and is approximately 22-years-old.

The front seat passenger is dark brown-skinned, approximately five feet eight inches tall and thought to be about 25-years-old.

The driver was treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and later released.
