Lines Overseas Management has recently announced that a D&J crane, which has forced traffic on the corner of Reid and Burnaby streets to travel in single file for the past month, will leave the area within the next two weeks.

The crane has been used to help build LOM's $10 million modern office block.

The five-storey building, designed by Bermudian architectural and design firm OBM, is slated for completion in September next year.

Noting that the crane's removal will free up a section of the right lane at Reid Street once again to traffic, LOM Holdings Ltd managing director Scott Lines said: "We want to thank all the people of Bermuda for bearing with us while the crane has been up.

"We want to apologise especially to the drivers and pedestrians for the inconvenience, but we feel that with the investment we are making in the site and in Bermuda, it will benefit the whole Island in the long term.''
