that she will continue to "give them hell'' over recent complaints.

Speaking in the House of Assembly, Mrs. Bell was furious that Telco had not responded to her pleas to investigate problems with the phone system.

The St. George's South MP claimed customers are being made to pay for wrong numbers even though they did not dial them.

She said: "I have seen the annual report and the biggest increase in revenue is in overcalls.'' Overcalls are calls made over the approximate 50 each customer is allowed to make every month. They are charged to the customer.

But Mrs. Bell says wrong numbers, not dialled by the customer, are being charged. She could even give an example heard by hundreds of people.

In a recent phone-in on the radio, a call came in for Harbour Radio. Mrs. Bell said: "The number she was calling was 297-1010. The number at ZBM was 293-1340. There is no way she hit all those digits by mistake.'' Mrs. Bell is collecting complaints about Telco so she can prove there is a fault in the system and asked people with complaints to contact her.

She said: "I have spoken to the general manager of Telco Mr. Pacheco and I have been disappointed with his response.

"Mr. Pacheco told me that there was no way it could have happened with the present system used by TELCO, but I have heard of many problems.'' She was also upset that Mr. Pacheco had seemingly not taken her complaint seriously, by telling her she was "jumping on a bandwagon''.

Mrs. Bell was concerned that machines that record calls and numbers will take wrong numbers causing people to call back.

But she has vowed to everyone who has had problems that she will give Telco hell over the matter. That statement caused some complaint from the Speaker of the House of Assembly, the Hon. Ernest DeCouto.
