to try and recover money owed tothem by the failed retailer.

Archie Brown, which also ran the Marks and Spencer franchise in Bermuda, went intio liquidation earlier this year.

It was subsequently taken over by the English Sports Shop, which also gained the right to run the Marks and Spencer store on Reid Street.

Yesterday, creditors of Archie Brown's met in the Chamber of Commerce building, on Front Street.

It was agreed that Gregory Haycock, a partner at chartered accountants KPMG/Butterfield and Steinhoff, should be appointed as the liquidator of the company.

Mr. Haycock's job will include trying to find a way of paying creditors their owed money. The total amount of money owed is not being made public.
