Dodwell says Boston meeting `productive'
gleaned from a Bermuda task force meeting with a Boston company.
Mr. Dodwell and Finance Minister Grant Gibbons led a 14-strong team in a meeting with the Monitor Company, which advises on tourism, last week.
But the meeting came under fire because key Bermuda groups like the Chamber of Commerce and the Bermuda Industrial Union were not represented.
Last night Mr. Dodwell said he wished all Bermudians could have been part of the exercise and assured people that the meetings were productive.
He said a number of processes were identified which called for wider community involvement, adding that the information would be shared.
He said he was encouraged by people speaking out, which indicated a willingness for change.
He said the Ministry's creation of the Visitor Industry Partnership and plans to improve service in the hotels were starting points for improving the industry.
