The Corporation of St. George's and the Ministry of Works and Engineering are crying over the spilt paint but are blaming each other for the mess.

Neither will to take responsibility for the long splattered line stretching across the Causeway into St. George's and they are pointing the finger at each other.

A spokesman for the Works Ministry said he only knew that the incident involved a Corporation van, and suggested paint containers inside had overturned or smashed.

But a Corporation spokesman said it was Works and Engineering paint. "They probably assumed it was the Corporation of St. George's,'' he said.

A motorist, who asked to be anonymous, confirmed that the line was a continuous strip of yellow paint, splattered, not solid.
