Discussions after the film revealed the students were shocked that someone could die from using drugs only a few times. After debating the pros and cons of legalising drugs in Bermuda, the students voted against the move. One of them said: "All drugs are capable of doing is causing crime and death.'' HELP POLICE SLECT MOTTO POL Bermudians have been asked to put on their thinking caps and come up with a Police motto.

The idea of a motto was recommended by Judge Stephen Tumim in his report on Bermuda's criminal justice system. And now Police Commissioner Lennett (Lennie) Edwards has appealed for help.

GET RID OF THAT OLD PAINT GVT The Ministry of Works and Engineering is staging a two-day commercial and household hazardous waste drop-off this week.

The public can bring all unwanted paint, thinners, cleaners, solvents and pesticides to the Devon Springs Recycling Centre where they can be disposed of safely.

Drop off times are between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

SPARROWS NEST FIR A 43-year-old man was arrested for allegedly trying to set fire to the Sparrows Nest on Reid Street.

The suspect got into an argument with the management of the club at about 2 a.m. yesterday.

"The incident is under investigation, but it is understood that serious damage to the premises was prevented,'' said a Police spokesman.
