Daniel Anthony Jerome Cann, 41, of Paget, is also charged with causing grievous bodily harm to the baby -- Cannice Joann White -- on May 29, 1991.

An inquest into the child's death was adjourned in November of 1992. Cann was later charged by Police.

Cann, who is represented by Mr. Delroy Duncan, has been free on $30,000 bail.
