SECOND DIVISION
Promotion hopefuls Hamilton Parish kept their grip on second place in the standings with victory at White Hill Field yesterday.
Parish remain just two points behind Wolves after second half goals from Ricky Hill and Irving Burgess (90th minute) finally saw off a stubborn challenge from Paget who trailed 2-1 at the half.
Shane Burgess opened the scoring for Parish in the seventh minute before Corey Hill made it 2-0 in the 20th.
Alvin Baker pulled one back for Paget two minutes later and it stayed that way until the half. In the second half Marlon Williams pulled Paget level at 2-2 before two more goals from Parish sealed the win.
St. George's 0 St. David's 3 Former St. George's players Del Tyrell and Chae Simmons scored for St. David's at Wellington Oval to keep the Islanders in with a slim chance of promotion.
St. David's moved ahead of idle Prospect and into third place, though they still trail Hamilton Parish by nine points with a game in hand.
Shane Weeks put St. David's ahead in the 13th minute before Tyrrell and Simmons (penalty) added to the tally with goals in the 20th and 43rd minutes.
Som. Eagles 0 Social Club 3 Social Club broke a three-way tie for last place in the standings when they picked up their first win of the season at White Hill Field.
