one boat fire. On Friday evening the Fire Service was called to two brush fires, one near the Harmony Club and one near the Tyne's Bay incinerator. In the first an area measuring 150ft by 30ft was alight and it took 11 firefighters to bring the fire under control. The fire near the incinerator involved an area measuring 75ft by 50ft and it is suspected that both fires were caused by sparks from electricity cables shorting in the strong winds. On Saturday, at about 11 p.m., firefighters were called to a house boat fire in Spanish Point.
