Police custody was sentenced to nine months in prison on Friday.

Jacquiline D. Dillas slid her hand under a window at the home of Edith Butterfield Mckee on June 21 and opened the door.

Mckee saw her rummaging through her purse. Dillas ran off but was spotted by Police later that morning on Spice Hill Road in Warwick.

She denied that she had committed the offence but was arrested. At Camp Hill road she ran away from the Police vehicle but was arrested at her home on July 7.

Dillas begged Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis to order prison authorities to treat her for her cocaine addiction. "I am sorry. I was recently released from Co-hab, but it is easy to get back in it,'' she said.

Mr. Francis told her he could only recommend that she get treatment. He sentenced her to nine months for breaking and entering and three months for stealing. The sentences will run concurrently.
