Blazers, Irish celebrate

chamionship in three years after defeating Devonshire Colts 4-1 at National Stadium yesterday, topping a busy sporting weekend.

Two goals in each half sealed the victory, with Carlos Pearman netting twice, while Dwight Warren and Brian Anderson scored one goal apiece. Harrison Trott registered Colts' lone tally early in the second half.

Boulevard's only previous triumph came in 1991.

With tries from international stalwarts Niall Malone, Simon Geoghegan, Jim Staples and Neil Francis, Irish shut the door on the Invitationals to win their 11th Classic. The 113 points in the game was the most ever for a Classic. Full story on Page 19.
