Officers arrested the 35-year-old woman driver and the victim's 15-year-old brother after a hostile group formed around the Pembroke woman's car.

Officers arrived at the Spanish Point Road, Pembroke, scene of the accident just after 9 p.m. on Friday night.

The girl, who was being tended to by a group of youths, was rushed to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and detained for observation, but she is not thought to be seriously injured.

The driver and the girl's brother were questioned at Hamilton Police station and inquiries are continuing.

MOTORCYCLIST PUSHED OFF BIKE, ROBBED CTS Motorcyclist pushed off bike, robbed Police were yesterday hunting two men after a motorcylist was pushed from his moving bike and robbed while he lay in the road stunned.

And after stealing a brown money pouch containing a quantity of cash from around his waist, the two stole his bike as well.

The incident happened as the 45-year-old Devonshire man was riding home from work around 11 p.m. on Saturday night along South Road, Warwick, near the junction with Rocklands Road.

The injured man was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and was detained overnight. Police inquiries are continuing.

YOUTHS THREATEN MANAGER WITH KNIFE CRM Youths threaten manager with knife Police were last night hunting four youths after the manager of a St. George's pub was threatened with a knife.

A teenager -- thought to be aged between 16 and 17 -- pulled a four-inch blade after he was told to go the bar for change by the manager.

The youth refused to do that and after being challenged on his age, he was asked to leave. As the manager tried to close the bar door on him, he pulled the knife.

The manager picked up a chair to defend himself and three other youths became involved.

One threw a ten-pound rock used as a doorstop at the manager, who managed to deflect it and force the youths outside, where they kicked the door repeatedly until they heard the pub boss call the Police.

A Police spokeswoman said the incident happened just after midnight yesterday morning.

Officers have descriptions of the youths and appealed for any witnesses to the incident to contact St. George's CID on 297-1122.

FIREFIGHTERS GIVE FIRST AID AT CRASH FIR Firefighters give first aid at crash Police last night praised the Bermuda Fire Service after a man was injured after he lost control of his cycle and smashed into a fence.

Firefighters carried out first aid on the injured man and directed traffic around the scene after the accident.

The victim, a 61-year-old St. George's man, was bleeding from his nose and mouth, sliced open a finger and suffered road rash on his knees after colliding with the metal fence on St. David's Road near number two gate on Saturday evening.

The injured man was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and required minor surgery for his injuries.

BURGLAR STEALS CASH FROM HOTEL ROOM CRM Burglar steals cash from hotel room A visiting couple from New York had their hotel room raided in the early hours of Saturday morning as they lay asleep.

Cash, credit cards, driver's licence and other personal items were stolen from the man's wallet and the woman's purse. The empty wallet and purse were later recovered from just outside the room.

The incident happened sometime between 11 p.m. when the couple went to bed and 6.45 a.m. Police are investigating the incident.

COUPLE DISTURB ALLEGED BURGLAR CRM Couple disturb alleged burglar A couple returning home from a night out may have disturbed a raider, Police said yesterday.

The couple, from Harbour Road, Paget, returned to their house just after 11 p.m. on Saturday to find it had been broken into.

They noticed a fax machine and other items had been moved -- but found nothing missing.

A Police spokeswoman said the fact that nothing had been stolen suggested that the couple had disturbed the intruder when they returned.
