Mrs. Thomas was nominated by Mr. and Mrs. Tottingham of Peabody, Massachusetts who have visited Bermuda every year for the past 22 years.

They told VIP that "seeing Dolores each year is the highlight of their holiday'', said a VIP spokeswoman.

"They also say that her excellent and friendly service at the Elbow Beach Cycle Shop is notoriously known by everyone who meets her.'' With her win, Mrs. Thomas received lunch at the Harbourfront Restaurant with Tourism Minister David Allen, VIP chairman Eugene Blakeney and Hospitality Professional Association president David Kenny.

She also received a 14-carat gold sunshine pin plus a weekend for two at the Harmony Club.
