Tyne's Bay Incinerator.

Mr. Larry Woods, 39, was looking into the pit, which has a pumping device at the bottom, when he tumbled in. It is believed there was no safety rail around the hole.

Mr. Woods sustained a cut to his head and fractured ribs. He was taken to hospital for and later released.
