Also in the field for Monday's qualifying round are Lisa Griffin, who won in 1992 and 1993, Lee Ann Vogel who was defeated by Morgan in last year's final, and Bermuda international Madeline Joell.

Following Monday's qualifying the tournament enters match play with the final scheduled for Thursday.

The poor entry has reportedly prompted BGA officials into discussion over a new date and venue for next year's event.

Meanwhile, yesterday was the official closing date for entries for the Bermuda Open which takes place at Port Royal from October 12 to 15. Defending champion Stuart Hendley of Canada has already confirmed his entry.

Bermuda Golf Association will hold their next medal play event at Port Royal on Saturday, October 7. Entries should be submitted to secretary Tom Smith (238-1367) by 6.00 p.m. on Tuesday.
