she jogged along the Railway Trail in Warwick.

The attack occurred along the trail between Ord and South Shore Roads at about 8.30 a.m.

"I passed him and I waved to be friendly,'' the woman told The Royal Gazette . "But then he ran up behind me. He got one arm around me. A knife, a big knife, was in his other hand.'' The woman's screams apparently caused the man to let go and leave the scene.

The woman was not hurt physically.

Police yesterday confirmed a report of the incident.
