It will market and underwrite general reinsurance business, treaty and facultative, both on excess of loss and pro rata basis in East Asia, including Japan. The Bermuda company expects to begin writing for January 1997 renewals soon.
Lee Soo Kwan became principal officer and general manager of the branch yesterday. She will be appointed vice president of Mid Ocean Re, bringing much regional insurance and reinsurance experience to the firm.
