BA cuts London fares
special rates.
From November 1 to December 6, midweek fares will be $569 and weekend fares will be $619.
The move comes as British Airways managers say anticipated growth in passengers did not meet expectations this year.
Four flights a week were introduced for the first time this year -- with BA flying the schedule for 32 weeks of the summer.
BA manager Philip Troake said: "We are satisfied with the performance of the four flight a week schedule which will continue until the end of October. We are somewhat disappointed, however, that the growth we anticipated did not materialise this year and hope that this is only a short-term trend.'' Mr. Troake said the disappointing growth would not affect next year's schedule of four flights, or the winter schedule with three flights, but it did rule out any chance of adding a fifth.
"The message is that we cannot see anything that justifies further enhancements in flights at present,'' he added.
British Airways says ticketing and payments for the London deal must be completed between October 1 and October 31.
People must stay abroad for a minimum of seven days and tickets must be booked 14 days in advance and payment made within 72 hours of a reservation being made.
