It will be presented by Linda James, an alcohol and drug abuse counsellor from Canada.

She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Addiction Intervention Association.

The "dialogue on addictions'' workshop is being co-sponsored by the National Drug Commission, Bermuda College and the Council on Alcohol & Drug Abuse (CADA).

A CADA spokesman said the purpose was to educate professionals and volunteers working "in the field of substance abuse treatment on the current model for International Certification''.
