Memorial Hospital today following a serious car accident early yesterday.

Mr. John Symonds, 26, was listed in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit yesterday evening and his brother Charles, 25, was in satisfactory condition in a general award.

A family member said Mr. Charles Symonds was driving the black Nissan Sentra car west along Middle Road, Warwick just before 2 a.m. when he apparently lost control and failed to negotiate a sharp right hand bend at Khyber Pass.

The car was extensively damaged after it mounted the sidewalk and struck a large palm tree, Police said.

Two other men, aged 23 and 28, who were passengers in the car sustained cuts in the accident but were later released.

Fire officials took 15 minutes to free Mr. John Symonds from the front passenger seat, while his brother, who is still suffering from chest pains, is listed in satisfactory condition in a general ward.
