ZBM ordered to turn over
it was claimed "mischaracterised'' evidence to a Commission of Inquiry into the Bermuda Police drugs squad.
And Commission counsel Kim White said: "The public has a right to expect that reporting is done accurately and when it's not it causes great concern.'' Mr. White was speaking after a report on ZFB/ZBM on Wednesday night was claimed to have relayed a wrong interpretation of Police Commissioner Colin Coxall's evidence on acquittals in Supreme Court drugs cases to Attorney General Elliott Mottley.
The Commission counsel read out the relevant section of evidence by Mr. Coxall and added that a reference by Mr. Coxall to "inexperienced'' prosecutors had also been taken out of context when put to Mr. Mottley.
Commission chairman Telford Georges said he wanted a transcript of the transmission which he could compare with the record of evidence before issuing a statement.
