by one month, the Environment Minister announced yesterday.

The Hon. Ann Cartwright DeCouto agreed to the extension after requests from the Bermuda National Trust and consultants to objectors.

"I decided on the extension because the National Trust and one or two other professionals had written to me several weeks ago saying they had a great deal of work to do (on the Plan) and were not sure they could do it in the objection time available,'' she said.

A final deadline date will be set by officials possibly today. The previous deadline date was September 11.
