Top oceanographer to speak tonight

Bermuda Biological Station for Research Inc.Dr. Sylvia Earle has made pioneering deep-sea dives, co-founded companies which developed deep-sea technology, and served from 1990 to 1992 as Chief Scientist of the United States' National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Dr. Sylvia Earle has made pioneering deep-sea dives, co-founded companies which developed deep-sea technology, and served from 1990 to 1992 as Chief Scientist of the United States' National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The Sea Education Association of Woods Hole, Massachusetts is to host the lecture. "Exploring the Deep Frontier'' is the topic.

The lecture begins at 7.30 p.m. In attendance will be a group of SEA college students who arrived in St. George's yesterday aboard the 125-foot staysail schooner Westward . Dr. Earle had led more than 50 sea expeditions around the world, involving more than 5,000 underwater hours.
