frustrated at being searched by narcotics and customs officers every time he arrived at the Airport that he punched one of them.

Shawn Edward Dill of Pembroke, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a customs officer's order, assaulting a narcotics officer and violently resisting arrest.

Prosecutor Sgt. Rex Osborne said officers approached Dill in the arrivals hall on December 16 at about 9.50 p.m. because of his actions at the luggage carousel.

He became angry when ordered to go over to the search area, shouting at the officers repeatedly.

When Dill refused to calm down and began fighting the officers, he was arrested and handcuffed.

Dill told the court: "My behaviour was a reaction to being constantly harassed by Police every time I go through the Airport ... I'm sick and tired of it.'' He added he thought it was the "sickest thing'' he had ever heard when an officer explained he was being searched because he was "living above his means''.

Dill said he had worked hard to get where he was, and was "by no means a rich man yet''.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis asked whether Police had uncovered anything illegal during the search. Sgt. Osborne said they had not.

He fined Dill $100 on each count.
