After placing third in last year's tournament in Oklahoma, Marshall fell flat this time around. Scores of 83 and 79 for the opening two rounds on the par-73 course meant that Marshall missed the cut by two strokes.

The final round was to involve 23 girls with Erika Hayashida of Peru heading the standings on 142.

It appeared to be a two-girl race with California's Emilee Klein the closest threat to Hayashida two shots off the pace, while a distant third was Holly Carriker of Texas on 150.

Next up for Marshall are the Optimist Junior Worlds at Torrey Pines Golf Club in San Diego, California, which begins Monday.

A last call goes out today to golfers wanting to enter July 25's Heritage Tournament at St George's.

Entries should be called in to Bermuda Golf Association Secretary Tom Smith on 238-1367 before next Tuesday.

Meanwhile, women playing in the Amstel League tomorrow will have their scores used for medal play competition and will be able to play their Mid Ocean Club medal play round on August 15.
