HKL (Marina) Ltd., part of Bermuda-registered Hongkong Land, offered the highest of five bids for the government auctioned site.
Hongkong Land is the property arm of the Jardines.
The other bidders for the site included Merevale Holdings Pte., Japura Pte.
Pidemco Land Ltd., Winavic Investment Pte. and First Capital Corp.
The site, known as the Esplanade Mall, carries a 99 year lease. It can be used for a commercial, residential or hotel development with up to six stories above ground.
The winning bidder must also build a 350-metre-long underground shopping mall with 6,000 square metres of floor space linking the site with the City Hall subway station. -- Bloomberg ROYAL CARIBBEAN RAISES $175 MILLION SHI Royal Caribbean raises $175 million Royal Caribbean successfully raised $175 million in the US public debt market weeks after postponing a share issue.
The cruise group sold $175 million ten-year notes to US investors to help fund new ships and cut debt, Lloyd's List reported.
In July, Royal Caribbean, which operates the Song of America , withdrew a $205.5 million share issue intended to help cut debts blaming US stock market declines for the move.
But Royal Caribbean said it hoped to return to relaunch the issue if market conditions improved.
Miami-based Royal Caribbean plans to spend $1.1 billion in the next two years on four new cruise ships lifting capacity about 50 percent to 24,700 berths.
In June, the group's $750 million revolving credit facility was increased to $1 billion to finance the new vessels.

Mr. Trott, who has worked for Marriott for nine years in the US and Bermuda, has received awards for manager of the quarter, leadership and quality impact manager of the region for communication.
As director of human resources, he will be restructuring the hotel's hiring processes and will assist with hotel-wide training and development, a Marriott statement said.
NOBEL ANNOUNCE QUARTERLY DIVIDEND BUC Nobel announce quarterly dividend Bermuda-registered Nobel Insurance Ltd. announced a regular quarterly dividend of five cents per share.
The dividend is payable September 4 to shareholders of record August 21.
Nobel recently reported second quarter profits for the three months ended June 30 were $2 million compared to 1995 second quarter earnings of $2.9 million.
Nobel Insurance services and underwrites property and casualty risks. -- Bloomberg CENTRAL WUROPENA MEDIA REPORT LOSS TV Central European Media report loss Bermuda-registered Central European Media Enterprises Ltd., which owns and operates television stations in Europe, reported a second quarter loss.
For the three months ended June 30, the company lost $4.6 million, or 25 cents per share, compared to a loss of $1.4 million, or ten cents per share, for the same frame a year earlier.
Quarter revenue was $38.6 million compared to $28.5 million. -- Bloomberg
