calender will occur on Monday when they play host to the West Indies Cricket Umpires Association's 16th bienniel conference.

Prominent officials will start to arrive from the Caribbean today for the event, which will get underway at Somerset CC starting at 9 a.m.

Randy Butler, president of the BCUA, said that his association is proud to be host for a second time. The event was held here in 1975.

Most of the functions will take place in the Somerset area, involving Somerset CC and the Prison Officer's Club. It will conclude on Friday with a banquet at Somerset CC with the Hon. Jim Woolridge (MP) the guest speaker.

"We expect a lot of new issues will be addressed at this conference, all of which may effect the sport in the near future,'' said Butler.

Among the officials coming from the Caribbean are Lloyd Barker, who umpired during the recent Test between the West Indies and Pakistan and Ronnie Osborne, who is the WICUA's area vice president responsible for Jamaica and Bermuda.
