possessing cannabis on October 25 in Pembroke.

Jason Barclay, 25, of Spicewood Drive pleaded guilty to the charge which resulted from his arrest at Middletown Drive.

The court heard the Police officers in the area saw Barclay sitting on a wall.

As they approached him they noticed a strong smell of cannabis.

Barclay was searched and the officers found two yellow pay type envelopes containing plant material in his pocket.

He told the officers: "So? It's a bit of weed. I like to chill out after work, man.'' The plant material was analysed and discovered to be 1.52 grams of cannabis.
