Algernon Busby led Warwick's 14-hit uprising by going two-for-two, but Village had done just enough to preserve the win for pitch Derek Davis.

Village managed nine hits off loser Vagunel (Butch) Smith, who struck out six.

Fred Eve and Gilbert Beek both went two-for-three for Village.

In the second game, champions Hornets sank Sharks 16-2. Richard Scott went four-for-four with two RBI, and Allen Richardson and John Ray both went three-for-four to lead Hornets, who sent 14 batters to the plate in an eight-run first inning.

J.C. Vachon spoiled winning pitcher Elliott Perinchief's shut-out bid with an RBI single in the fifth inning. Kim Hutchinson was the losing pitcher.

TARGET SHOOTING SHO Nelson Simons recorded 194 out of 200 to win the weekly shoot at the Prospect Range on Wednesday night. He was followed by James Rego on 192.
