Bermuda Public Transport bus rolled on exhibit in Toronto.

The exhibit was part of the International Union of Public Transport Conference which is held every two years.

According to the director of the Public Transportation Department, Herman Basden, "only the newest and most innovative transportation technology is selected for exhibit at the conference''.

Specially designed and manufactured for Bermuda, the bus on exhibit is one of ten new ones to be added to the present local fleet of 110.

"The bus was extremely popular at the conference, and was one of the more frequently visited exhibits there,'' Mr. Basden pointed out. "Of course everyone asked why it was painted pink and blue.''
