parents who have not found the names of their children on the draft Register of Bermudians now on display in post offices.

"There is no need for concern,'' the statement said. "The first draft is only a list of those adults who registered to vote, as Bermudians, at least once in the four years 1989 through 1992.'' The Department said the list of Bermudian voters needed to be corrected for duplications and name changes.

"That is the purpose of publishing successive draft registers,'' it said.

"Once this process has been completed the first established Register of Bermudians will be published. At that time the public will be advised of the simple procedure for adding children. Parents are asked to be patient with the process and not to be overly concerned.''
