The "Youth Talent Tribute'', which was to be held on Sunday, was cancelled as a result of technical difficulties and the death of concert supporter Gloria Trott.

Corporation spokeswoman Gina Hook said: "The decision to cancel the concert is viewed especially appropriate at this time having learned of the passing of Mrs. Gloria Trott.'' Mrs. Trott was the mother of concert entertainment coordinator Jonathan (Stork) Trott.

"She was a huge fan and rarely missed a concert...she will be greatly missed,'' Mrs. Hook added.
