Belco is the best of the week on BSX

Belco Holdings proved to be a shining example to the rest of the market as it boosted its share value by 75 cents (3.57 percent) to close at $21.75 on the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index.

A total of 200 shares changed hands, as it did at Argus Group Holdings, whose share price increased 25 cents (1.64 percent) to finish on $15.50.

The other listed insurance company, BF&M went into reverse, closing down at $18.40, a decline of 60 cents (3.16 percent), with 200 shares traded.

Oleander cargo ship owner Bermuda Container Line and Watlington Waterworks both advanced their values by 25 cents (1.75 percent) and five cents (0.4 percent) respectively.

Butterfield Bank, meanwhile, lost 20 cents (0.98 percent) off the price of their shares as a trade of 150,670 shares left them on a closing price of $20.20.

Overall the Index finished down 16.039 points (0.31 percent) at 5,104.46, with 158,255 shares changing hands and a turnover of $3,173,724.45.
