Day of ups and downs

A whopping $259,744.05 was traded on the Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday as 17,889 shares changed hands.
The Index closed down at 5,265.62, dropping 42.47 points (0.80 percent), with two companies benefiting and one suffering as a result.
LOM (Holdings) Ltd. rose five cents (1.4 percent) to close at $3.75, with 3,352 shares being traded.
BF&M Ltd.'s share value was also on the increase, climbing 15 cents up to $19.15, as 700 shares changed hands.
But BELCO Holdings Ltd. saw their share price go into reverse, as it slipped $2.45 (10.9 percent) to $20.05, with 100 shares traded.
The BSX Insurance Index also experienced a positive change, going up 0.85 percent to finish on 1,200.33.
