Yacht limping back to Island

A 46-foot sloop was heading back to the Island last night after it lost its mast.The <I>Albatross IV </I>left Bermuda on May 5 with two people onboard for a two and a half week sail to arrive in Flores, Azores.Harbour Radio received a call from the sloop at 8 a.m. yesterday morning saying they were 250 miles East, North East of the Island and had lost its mast.

The Albatross IV left Bermuda on May 5 with two people onboard for a two and a half week sail to arrive in Flores, Azores.
Harbour Radio received a call from the sloop at 8 a.m. yesterday morning saying they were 250 miles East, North East of the Island and had lost its mast.
A spokesperson for Bermuda Maritime Operations said they had been in constant contact with the boat which is now making its way back to the Island at five to six knots.
It should arrive late on Friday.
