Nine deny riotous behaviour
Nine young men between the ages of 16 and 24 were hauled into Magistrates' Court yesterday morning to face charges of riotous behaviour over the weekend.
The nine were arrested early on Saturday morning in Southampton, for allegedly attacking a Police vehicle and causing a disturbance.
The men charged — David Brunson, 18, of Woodlawn Road, Sandys; Kelvin Warner, 17, of Warwick Park Road, Warwick; Peter O'Neil, 24, of Malabar Close, Sandys; Chioke Medeiros, 18, of Tribe Road No. 6, Sandys; Khyri Williams, 19, of White Hill View, Sandys; Kevin Warner, 18, of Warwick Park Road, Warwick; Raymond Tucker, 18, of Crawl Point Lane West, Hamilton Parish; Shawn Williams, 16, of East Shore Road, Sandys and Devon Hairston, 17, of Spanish View Lane, Hamilton — all pleaded not guilty.
Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner adjourned this matter until July 23 and all of the men but three were released on bail and given a curfew between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Hairston, Warner and Warner, however, were remanded in custody at the Co-Ed Facility in connection with other matters.
