Partygoers throw missiles at Police
Revellers attending a noisy birthday party threw rocks and bottles at Police officers who told them to turn the music down.
According to a Police spokesman, the problems began around 2.15 a.m. on Saturday when they attended a complaint about a loud house party in Mount Zion Lane, Southampton.
They found around 20 people in the midst of a birthday party – who complied with a request to turn the volume down. However, another complaint followed and the Police went back again.
"As the officers left the area a second time, rocks and bottles were thrown at the Police vehicle.
The officers called for assistance and additional Police units arrived at the scene. As a result, several young men were arrested on suspicion of throwing missiles and for outstanding warrants," the spokesman said.
No officers were injured and there was no damage to the vehicles.
