Local radio station earns two awards
Hott 107.5 picked up two awards for radio commercials at the coveted Caribbean Broadcasts Awards.
"The National Drug Commission's Ecstasy" radio commercial was voted the 'Best Public Services Spot' and the BIU's "Co-Op Taxi" commercial was runner up for the "Best Commercial for Radio" in the same competition.
Inter-Island Communications Ltd., parent company of HOTT 107.5 FM and MAGIC 102.7 FM, submitted the entries to the Caribbean Broadcast Awards selection panel last February.
"The National Drug Commission — Ecstasy" commercial was produced by Aardvark Communications Ltd. featuring Dr. Charles Schultz, Director of Emergency of Emergency Services at the Bermuda Hospitals Board discussing the dangers of taking ecstasy and anonymous users talking about the negative affects of the drug.
The BIU's "Co-Op Taxi" commercial was produced by Programme Director & Production Manager Thaao Dill addressing why he chose co-op taxi as his choice of transportation.
The winning entries will be aired on both HOTT 107.5 FM and MAGIC 102.7 FM for the rest of the month.
