Just over half a million worth of Butterfield Bank shares were traded on the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange resulting in a 13.32 (0.26 percent) rise in the exchange to close the week at 5, 079.43.

Shares in the bank were the only ones to be exchanged on Friday. A total of 8,722 shares were traded resulting in a closing price improvement of 25 cents (0.4 percent) to $59.50.

The value of the shares traded was $518,778.50.
