The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange fell 0.39 percent yesterday as two banks lost value.Bermuda Commercial Bank (BCB) fell 75 cents to close at $8.50 — a drop of 8.1 percent in the share price — as 300 shares traded. Meanwhile Butterfield Bank shares dropped 25 cents to close at $56.25, as 922 of its shares moved.

Watlington Waterworks Ltd. was the only other issue to trade and it closed unchanged at $14 on sale of 800 shares.
Trading remained light in the week between the Christmas and New Year holidays and just 2,022 shares worth $65,612.50 changed hands.
The Index dipped by 19.09 points to close the day at 4,862.90.
