A driver of a car that collided with a utility pole in Pembroke left the scene of the accident before Police arrived.

Police say the accident happened around 11.35 p.m. on Saturday on Spanish Point Road near the junction with St. John's Hill.

It appears the car was travelling west on Spanish Point Road when the driver lost control. The car received widespread damage.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact Pc Delworth Smith on 295-0011.
