Woman crashes car into wall
A 23-year-old Pembroke woman was hospitalised after she lost control of her car and crashed into a wall.
Police attended the scene around 1.45 a.m. yesterday on North Shore Road, Devonshire, near the junction with Dock Hill.
It appears the car was travelling west on North Shore Road when the driver lost control, causing the car to cross into the eastbound lane and collide with a wall.
The victim complained of pain to her chest and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. However, she was later arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.
The car's front seat passenger, a 30-year-old Pembroke woman, sustained a laceration to her face and complained of pain to her lower back.
She was also taken to hospital via ambulance for treatment and is currently in stable condition.
The car received damage to its front windscreen as well as front and rear end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
