Alea Group Holdings (Bermuda) saw first-half pre-tax loss narrowed and is to focus on reducing expenses and insurance contract liabilities.

The insurer posted a pre-tax loss of $10.3 million compared with $14.4m a year ago.

Alea Group reported a wider total loss of $11m from $10.7m a year earlier.

Total revenue fell to $50.9m compared with $258.8m a year ago.
