An American Airlines' Airbus 360 was diverted to Bermuda around 8 p.m. last night after the pilot reported a full emergency.

Nine vehicles and 23 personnel responded from the Hamilton, Clearwater, Airport and Volunteer fire stations.

The plane landed safely and the pilot declared that it was secure. It is not known how many people were onboard, the reason for the emergency call or where the plane was headed.
