Police are investigating reports of a gun being fired in Sandys this morning.

A Police statement released this afternoon said no one was reported injured however a bullet had been found.

“At 6.55am today, Police received a report of a gunshot in the Scott's Hill Road, Sandys Parish area," the statement read. "Police attended the scene and conducted a thorough search of the vicinity.

"As a result one spent round (bullet) was recovered; however, no one was reported injured."

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010, the Serious Crime Unit on 299-8115 or the independent 24-hour confidential Crime Stoppers Bermuda hotline on 800-8477.
