Breaking News: Gun found outside Paget home
A gun was was found outside a Paget home this morning, Police confirmed.
A Police spokesperson said officers received a call at 7.45 a.m.
Acting on that information officers went to a Cobbs Hill Road home where they found the firearm outside.
Police have since blocked off the driveway to the house and are conducting an investigation, using canine units to search the premises.
Police have not described the type of gun found and have not made any arrests.
The spokesperson said it has been "forensically recovered and will be examined against all outstanding crime scenes".
Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the Cobbs Hill Road area today is asked to call Police on 295-0011.
The spokesperson said: "Once again we urge the public to provide any information regarding weapons and locations. The information will be treated sensitively and, if necessary, officers will talk anonymously to anyone who is fearful of repercussions.
"Also anyone who may have any information regarding the location of a firearm is encouraged to contact the independent confidential Crime Stoppers Bermuda hotline on 800-8477. The hotline is answered in Miami, Florida to ensure callers' anonymity."
