Firefighters staged a protest march around the City of Hamilton today.

Approximately 30 firefighters - holding picket signs demanding payment from the Government - marched around the city chanting “united we stand, divided we fall”.

One firefighter, who wished to remain nameless, told this newspaper that the reason for the protest was that they were not receiving the pay promised to them by Government.
