USA hammered an increasingly disillusioned Argentina by 107 runs at Lord?s on Saturday.

Chasing a sizeable 275 to win, the South Americans got off to a good start thanks to openers Gaston Arizaga (35) and Matias Paterlini (23).

Once the latter was out, however, wickets continually tumbled before Malcolm Van Steden (52) added an air of respectability to the Argentines? score of 168 with a patient half century.

Earlier, middle order batsman Ali Aijaz top scored for the US with 89, while Steve Massiah, Richard Staple and Clayton Lambert (42) all made significant contributions.
